The Finnish Air Traffic Controllers Association represents Finnish ATCO´s by attending to the professional, juridicial and social interests of it´s members and by promoting safety and flexibility in air traffic. The association was founded in 1952 making 2002 it´s 50th anniversary. FATCA´s activities are led by an executive board consisting of a chairman and 8 members. The board is divided into sub-groups with their own areas of responsibility.

FATCA is not a member of a centralised labour organisation but acts as an independent and exclusive bargaining representative between it´s members and the Finnish CAA.

FATCA is a founding member of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers´ Associations, IFATCA.
